Microsoft is also releasing new versions of the Office apps for Office Insiders to mark the occasion. Both of these were not shown off during the event last week, and are a welcome addition to the operating platform.Īs for the changelog, Microsoft has detailed all the new features that are added to Windows 11, which you can check out in the post above. This build, however, does include the new Settings app and the modern File Explorer that was spotted last week. Redmond has said that all features will eventually be added to the Insider builds, so it is only a matter of when, not if. The most notable exception being the ability to run Android apps on Windows 11, which surely the software titan is still working on. Directly above your Quick Settings, you will see media playback controls when playing music or videos in Microsoft Edge or streaming music in apps like Spotify.Since this is the first Windows 11 build, it stands to reason that not all features announced at the event last week have made the cut. The lower right corner of the Taskbar has a button for Notification Center ( WIN + N) and Quick Settings ( WIN + A). Try pinning, launching, switching, minimizing, and rearranging your apps on Taskbar to see the beautiful new animations. The taskbar is also centered with beautiful new animations. Start puts everything you need on your PC at the center with a set of pinned apps and a cloud-powered “Recommended” section that shows your recently opened files from both your PC and across your devices like your smartphone with OneDrive. It now comes with a beautiful Start Screen centered at the Taskbar of the screen. Being the first build, it adds a long list of new features and improvements.
